New feature: @bberrymobspot's App Review of the Week

We at Mobspot have taken (and will continue to take) the approach of not officially endorsing any app at the corporate level so as to not blur the line between informing and advertising. However, all of us are individually free to contribute our own reviews/rankings, be it good or bad. We were recently approached by Mobspot superfan @bberrymobspot asking if he could do longer, in-depth 'Review of the Week' reviews for his followers, to which we obviously said yes. Below is the first of his hopefully many more in-depth reviews in unedited form, and hopefully other platform superfans will follow!

Personal Assistant

The Personal Assistant app has been my “Favorite” app ever since I owned my BlackBerry. I was always the one who would be getting those over draft charges because I could never remember how much money I had in my bank account when I needed it. Those days are long gone now…

You may know the Personal Assistant by Pageonce as one of the first apps that got its own App World commercial as being a Super App. This is truly one of the best Super Apps available for the BlackBerry community. Personal Assistant allows numerous amounts of accounts to be added to the app ranging from banks to Netflix to almost every credit card under the sun.



The best part of Personal Assistant is that all of your accounts show up all on one place and from there you can decide which account you want to look at in more detail. The app itself is generally fast at updating your account information for you, but if it isn’t you have the ability to refresh your accounts to the most up to date information right at the tip of your finger.



Personal Assistant could not get any better they offer the same information on their website. While on the site you can add new accounts and there will also be some recommendations for some new accounts for you to add. You can refresh and edit your information from the site as well. Overall the site is a nice extension of the app as a backup in case you left your phone at home.

Pageonce offers Personal Assistant in two forms, a free version and a paid version. My only issue I have with Personal Assistant is that the “paid” version comes with a pass code lock for the app while the free version allows you to just open the app and begin. Other than that I suggest everyone to look at this app and at least give it a try.
