Groupon
If you didn’t know about Groupon before the Super Bowl I’m sure you know about it now. There have been commercials clogging the tube since. What you may not know is that Groupon has an application available for BlackBerry, Android, and iPhone. The question is how good is it?

When you first launch the app you are greeted to your “Daily Deal” based on where you are. If you aren’t a fan of the deal then you can search for “Nearby Deals” or even change the city you want to search near. You are then presented with a list of deals that you can choose from the list and get your savings on.
When you find your deal you are presented with the time left to buy, your discount percent, and the actual dollar amount you are saving. Who does not like to see how much their actually saving? Also you are given some highlights about the deal along with the fine print and reviews about the deal from other Groupon users. The app also gives the website, address, and ability to map the location of the business for easy contact.

So how easy is it to buy a deal through the app? Super easy…… All you have to do is fill in your name and credit card information right into the app and hit save. BAM! You just bought yourself a deal using your Groupon app! How do you feel?

Overall, this would make a great addition to any smartphone user who is looking to save some money on some really great products. Not only is it an aestically pleasing app, but it is a well rounded app in general. Between the in app payment, and the ease of use you just cannot beat it. Saying that it is not totally perfect. I have two big suggestions for improving Goupon. The first would be to include a reminder option incase you don’t want to buy the deal right away. The second improvement would be the ability to email deals to friends who would be able to use the deals. They are just two small ideas to make the app just that much better!
So get out there and start finding some deals (for you or someone else)!
